I have two on the wiki.  Neither is fully integrated for use as a user 
job.  I use them from a console and I perhaps have more time for doing 
this than most people would want to spare.   I posted them mainly to set 
out the steps involved, and they may need updating for 0.24+

The older script, for dvb-t, uses Project-X and discards all but one 
video and one audio stream.  The other just makes keyframe-linked cuts 
and passes everything.  It works with dvb-t2 as well and could be ok 
more generally.

Project-X cleans up some errors in the recording and doesn't have to 
discard subtitles;  I think mythburn.py in MythArchive would yield an 
example, but everything would need remuxing and I've never bothered.
