Create a new one with the right name, move all recordings (and
recording schedules) into it, and the old one will disappear
automatically.  There's no 'Recording Groups' table currently
the list of groups is gathered from the list of recordings
and scheduled recordings, so groups disappear automatically
when you stop using them.
