Guys I wish to register an apology.
Just tried to watch TV on my TV and couldn't get a decent signal on my chosen channel. Switched to the myth box and … channel working fine :) So, my wondrous TV has failed me for the first time in 6 years and 4 houses, and the benefits of understanding how to tune myth correctly are now clear to me.
Thanks all,
Mark

I'm getting signal from no less than 3 transmitters but thanks to the links you sent me and the info you gave I've managed to figure out which transports are giving me good channels, remove the others and - presto! A 2 minute tune with all the channels having the correct channel numbers and no conflicts!

My main one is running 0.25 and I'm loath to upgrade - mainly because that would involve upgrading to a new version of mythbuntu and the drivers for my Realtek card don't work with the kernel on the new version :(

I currently have problems in recognising TV cards after deleting them, though, so I don't recommend doing that without good reason. Just delete all channels, check that you have at least one good Transport and no bad ones, and go ahead.
