I'm OTA only (always have been). The FCC touts the wonders of white
space devices. In my region, there are NO white spaces. In my region
there is at least one station broadcasting on every channel, most have
two and some three. Cochannel interference is a significant problem.
This is very common in urban areas.
Now the FCC wants to take away even more TV spectrum, and not just a
little, but a lot. There already is not enough TV spectrum, so it will
end OTA as we know it. I remember when they sold off UHF channels 70 -
83, which wasn't that big of a deal. Then just a couple of years ago
channels 52 - 69. Now, the rest of the UHF spectrum (14-51) is up for
grabs.
