OK, just to get terminology straight...

Lineup = a list of channels from a specific provider that you specifiy
at Schedules Direct, and for which you can download listings data

Video Source = a list of channels and their tuning information in MythTV

What the OP needs is 2 MythTV Video Sources, which can both use the same
Schedules Direct lineup.

No, you shouldn't increase the priority of the channel on the Video
Source connected to the tuner you want to use that channel. In so
doing, you would be saying, "I'd rather record garbage off this channel
than record something good off any other channel," so you would actually
be messing up your other recording schedules (even those for shows that
never air on this channel).

You would /only/ want to decrease the priority of the channel on the
Video Source connected to the tuner you don't want to record that
channel--which says, "I'd rather miss a recording on this channel, but
if there's no other option, a recording from this channel will work."

(This is exactly why messing with channel and input priorities is almost
always a bad idea--because few understand the results of doing so. It
all comes down to the fact that there is only one priority which affects
/what/ you record. It's never as simple as affecting where you record.)

This is definitely the easiest way--and likely is more what the OP
wants. By creating a Video Source without the troublesome channel, you
would be making it impossible to record off that channel on the input
using that Video Source. The other input--which uses the other Video
Source, that contains the channel--would be able to record off that channel.
