As long as it's transparent to the end user then it really doesn't
matter. The power users continue to have their toys and the n00bs don't
even have to know what they're missing.
Going out of your way to cripple the system and annoy legacy users
simply isn't necessary.
It's fine to cater to the n00bs and have nice sensible defaults. It's
quite another thing to let them drive system architecture. If you have
no imagination, you will never understand the value of more interesting
