It's the only solution that delivers the full program you ask to
record. Multiple tuners is the norm these days. I have a dual tuner
HDHR, a triple tuner HDHR Prime, and firewire capture to a STB all
running and I rarely have a conflict.

Microsoft may be right. For mythTV, even more so.
A new tuner is far cheaper than a new Michael T Dean. We need to
utilize the one MTD we have most efficiently by having him work on
problems that can't be addressed by getting another tuner or two.
