[mythtv-users] DVD audio problem

I have an odd issue with playback of some DVDs(not all). Firstly the DVDs
in question play using mplayer or vlc without any issues

The audio on the menus is just audible but has a loud crackling over it.
When the main movie or episode is played there is no audio at all.
Selecting 'menu/audio/select audio track' displays 2 options:
1. English PCM_DVD 2ch
2. Undetermined AC3 1ch

If I select option 2 and then skip back or forward in the DVD then the
audio starts working. The audio menu also no longer has any audio track
options.
Incidentally the DVDs I have been trying only have 1 audio track.

This is using 0.24
