I do run Myth BE in a VM for testing but I use an HDhomerun (a network
attached tuner) so there are no issues with passthrough. I would highly
recommend the HDHR especially in a virtual setting. As long as there is
sufficient always available CPU and RAM you shouldn't have issues. If you
have multiple VMs that can potentially fight for disk IO you should
consider a hardware RAID controller and if possible split the array.
