[mythtv-users] Mythtv doesn't do a channel scan.

I use Vector Linux 7.0 as my operating system, my TV tuner card is a 
SAA7134 (Philips Semiconductor) and I installed Mythtv on my computer 
not long ago, and the problem that I am having is that I can't get it to 
scam channels. I am a new user to Mythtv, and I was wondering if there 
is anyone out there who could give me some help setting it up correctly 
(in layman's terms, if possible) because I am still very much on a 
"learning curve with this whole system. I want to use it to record 
movies, as well as videos. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
