[mythtv-users] what does "recorder failed" mean?

I have DVB and firewire, and in both cases a brief disconnection of the
cable during recording causes a recording failure. I thought about
making some code changes so that it would retry a few times, perhaps for
5 minutes or so, but it happens so seldom that it did not seem worth my
time.  How often do you see this? I had a bad antenna cable on the DVB
and it happened once, so I replaced the cable.
