I'm currently downloading the build you have specified, so I'll give that a go later.

As I am no developer, I doubt I would be of any use, but I am keen to resolve this issue and any logs/traces/tests you would like me to perform, so if there is any way I can help, please let me know.

This may seem a silly question to experienced users, but would there be anything to stop me trying your 0.25pre build? (http://downloads.sourceforge.net/project/mythtvformacosx/Development/MythFrontend-0.25-intel-10.7v0.25pre-20120310.dmg) Or can you not mix backend/frontend versions? I'm just curious to see if a more current version of MythTV resolves the issue - I must admit I have had this issue for some time now, and have been *hoping* that with every update that problem would go away :-(.

@ James Linder

Thank you too for your input into the discussion.

Reading the list recently, I was of this opinion too. However I think (unless I have mis understood you) that you may have misunderstood my issue: It is my NVIDIA Mac mini which is having the problem, where my ATI iMac plays everything back silky smooth - this does't really add up to me.

Is this a known bug then? Or just with ATI GPUs?

@ Jason Gillis

Thank you too for your input into the issue I'm having

The idea had crossed my mind last night, that it would be interesting to see if a distro such as Ubuntu from a LiveCD would playback the same recordings ok on the Mac mini. However, I would prefer to keep MacOS X on the Mac mini as, apart from this issue, I have a fully setup media centre on the Mac mini and I don't really want to have re-set all of it up again, just to 'work around' this issue.

For now, I'll see if I can get Linux running from somewhere on the Mac mini, and try to see if I get the same issue under that environment.

Thank you all for your time.

Kind regards,

Joe
