I have the following boxes right now: Samsung SMT-H3260,  SA Explorer 
8300 HD, and SA Explorer 4250HDC.

I am indeed using the ircd.conf file.  Regarding the IR window, I am 
using the same position with my TiVo S1 transmitters.
