Now that's a nice little device, thanks for the info.

I followed the 'controversy' over vtuner trying to get into the mainline kernel on the linux-media list. Although I'm sure it has limitations and issues which was what caused the 'heated debate' however it should be fine for this application.

It seems to be only available from the Czech Republic and seems to work out quite expensive, ~£265 by my vague reckoning but might be the perfect solution.
