Thanks Mike

Not only for your quick answer to my question, but for
all the time you put into this project.

Living in Europe and only
having sat-tv I don't know of any more flexible solution than mythtv. I
could pull out miles of coax-cable and provide the family with multible
tv's without having to fight over a remote or for that fact a tv :-D

Cheers

PS not having a backup is like going to sea without a life
vest... plain stupid

Currently I have a .24+fix running Ubuntu 10.10 - which was a big
mistake on my part - and want to move to a fresh install of ubuntu 12.04
LTS. Originally I had planned to upgrade my production BE then backup
the db and use this for my fresh install. Just for the purpose of
testing on my test BE I did the following
/usr/share/mythtv/mythconverg_restore.pl --drop_database
--create_database --directory

Exactly.
