/etc/sysconfig/i18n sets up the environment for users who log in to your
system. The environment in which your mythbackend program is running is
not set. This is why you get a warning in mythbackend but not in
mythfrontend. You need to set the LANG and/or LC_ALL in the script that
starts mythbackend.
