For 0.24, there are a couple of "special" steps you have to follow.
You can get an old copy of the wiki page for 0.24 at:

(there are other old versions that work).

It is the creation of the (dummy) demo capture card to get
the schedules direct info that you are probably missing...
I would recommend starting from the first step, rather
than trying to start from where you are...
