The main use will be watching recorded DVB-T (Australia) and playing
music from the back end. As I'm new to MythTV I'm not sure what other
things we'll want to use it for. But as I'm going for a minimalist and
silent system with high WAF I'm wary of specification creep.

What is it in MythMusic that is demanding on the CPU? Is it decoding
the format (I am currently storing my music in FLAC)? I gather
MythMusic is a plugin for pre v0.25. I'm using v0.25.

By the way, I'm not sure of the etiquette but I realize I have added a
branch in Bobby's original closely related question - this is my first
post to any forum. I hope the issues are sufficiently closely related.
