The op mentioned Comcast.  While each franchise will vary, the
Comcast "standard" is that all but the premiums (HBO/Showtime/
Starz/etc) are "copy freely"(*).  Of course, testing is the only way to
be sure.

(*) If a particular non-premium channel is incorrectly marked with
protection, it is possible to get Comcast to correct it, but it can
take some time to get to the right people.
