I forgot to tell that I *do* use a AMD-based card. I changed the profile 
from "CPU+" to "High Qualility" (the translation of Dutch "Hoge 
Kwaliteit", and now things are fine...

Thanks! I wouldn't have got there by myself, I'm afraid.
