[mythtv-users] Backend crashes sometimes

Hello there,

I kindly need to ask your advice to track down some backend crashes.

mythbackend is running on a dedicated machine, which contains two budget
DVB-C cards. From time to time the backend crashes when a scheduled
recording is meant to be started. Sometimes the backend is running fine
for several days without any problem, sometimes I have to restart the
backend-service several times a day.

System is running on Ubuntu-Linux 11.10, Mythtv version is quite up to
date 0.24.1+fixes from the mythbuntu repository.

Today I caught the machine red-handed when sitting in front of it. There
are two recordings scheduled to be started. On 13:08:56 hours I'm
restarting the backend-service, because the backend isn't responding
neither to the frontend on a different machine nor to mythweb. After
that everything is back to normal:

not be found.

Unfortunately I cannot detect anything to see what causes this crash.
Syslog is pretty clean as well. This is a screenshot of mythweb after
the restart of the backend: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/1469136/error.png

As you might see, after the restart both recordings are recording well.
It's just coincidence, that this error occurs because of the fact that
there are 2 recordings at the same time. It happens as well when there
is only one recording scheduled.

Is there any chance of finding out, what causes this problem? Any advice
will be appreciated. If you are willing to help and need more
information, feel free to ask.

Thanks in advance.
