[mythtv-users] schedule grid leaves window behind

I'm running MythTV 0.24 on a Macmini running OS X 10.7.2 using an HDHR
Dual box to get ATSC. The "Show program guide when starting Live TV"
option is causing trouble for me. It shows live video in a window in the
upper right corner when it's displaying the program grid, but that
window remains after I exit live TV, covering menus. It lasts until I
exit and restart the front end.

Is this a known issue? I didn't see it in the bug database, but maybe I
missed it.

More details on the problem:

When I select Watch TV, first I get the program grid with the program
playing in a little window in the upper right corner. A moment later,
everything but that window goes black, and the video in the small window
continues to play.

If I wait for a while, part of the schedule grid may appear (the list of
programs in the lower right, but not the channel names or the upper left
portion of the screen). Pressing a key like Up makes it display some
other screen elements, though the background is still missing. It's as
if the front end thinks it's already painted the screen, and only needs
to refresh certain parts that have changed, and doesn't realize the
screen has been cleared somehow.

If I press Enter, I get a proper full-screen display of the selected
program, but when I press Esc to stop watching live TV, I get back to
the menu (with Watch TV, Delete Recordings, Previously Recorded), but
the window in the upper right remains, covering part of that menu. It
stays there as I move from menu to menu. It goes away when I watch a
recording, then comes back when I exit from the recording. Restarting
the front end is the only way I've found to get rid of it.

Here are some of my settings. A & indicates it happens with both settings.

Theme: Terra 1.1 & MythCenter-wide 1.1
Paint engine: Qt & OpenGL
Menu theme: DVR & Classic
Display on screen: 1 & 0
Aspect ratio 16:9
GUI size & position (all zeros)
Use GUI size for playback: Yes
Hide mouse cursor: No
Use window border: No
Use fixed window size: No
Separate modes for GUI and TV: No
Show program guide when starting Live TV: Yes (no problem if No)
Continue playback when embedded: No
Mac settings: Enable gamma: Yes & No, Scale video: Yes & No
Video in main window: Yes, frames to skip: 0, opacity: 100
Video in floating window: No
Video in dock: No
Video on the desktop: Yes & No

I ran the front end with -v libav, gui, and the resulting log is at
http://www.lugaru.com/mythtv-display-glitch.txt

Any suggestions for getting this working, or should I just turn off the
guide? Thanks in advance.

Steven
