I dont know the technicalities I only know that I could not pick up any
transmitters with my card until I had turned on the LNA.
I have noted Kark Dietz's response and that makes me speculate on signal
strengths at a locality. Perhaps he receives such a good signal that turning
on the LAN overloads his tuner. But as I said that is just speculation.
Here in Wellington NZ I have a line of sight path to the transmitter of about
20 Km's. and I NEED the LAN on to get the tuner to respond in any way.
