[mythtv-users] Hardware and software battles

Schedules Direct is not always correct. When you do a channel scan, it
finds each and every channel, including ones SD does not list and drops some
that SD has in their list, but are not actually transmitted by the cable
company. If nothing else it is a sanity check that tells me my tuners are
working. Right now, when I try channel scanning on my PVR-150's, or even
the analog side of my pcHDTV HD-5500, it zips through all 130+ channels in
about 15 seconds and then ends with a little notice at the end saying that
no channels were found. Happens in 0.24 fixes branch, and 0.24.1 latest
builds.

Analog scanning should work fine, but it's moot since you should never do it
anyway. Pull your channel lineup from your Schedules Direct account.
