[mythtv-users] problems with VIDEO_TS directories

The frontend log reports the following when I exit playback of a
VIDEO_TS and ask to set a bookmark:

  DVDPlayer: DVD has no name and serial number. Cannot set bookmark.

I don't get that message when exiting an ISO and setting a bookmark. I
can confirm that this is the problem by viewing the dvdbookmark
database table. As you would expect from that log message, dvdbookmark
isn't updated when I set a bookmark in a VIDEO_TS. It is updated for
ISOs.

Why can't MythTV find the name and serial number in the VIDEO_TS
structure? Is it a limitation inherent to VIDEO_TS?
