[mythtv-users] OTish: mythbuntu 11.04 polkitd memory leak

i'm running mythbuntu 11.04 x64 as my lan server - it does the myth BE
role, aswell as cifs & FTP file share and a torrent manager.

FTP is for my security camera, which will can upload once every second
should it detect motion (not sure if this is something that could be
affecting my issue)

the polkitd process is filling up the available ram over the space of
4-5 days, making the entire server come to a grinding halt untill i
can kill it (sudo killall polkitd).

a google search sugests that it's the pulse audio system causing
issues; specifically something in the ~\.pulse\ location. but from
what i can work out, my mythbuntu install does not have pulse
installed.

when i kill polkitd, it will disappear for a short while and then
return to consume all the available ram.

so, i'm at a loss. my linux skills are fairly weak so i don't know how
to work out whats going on.
can you guys put any suggestions forward?
