[mythtv-users] System events

How are system events triggered? I have a simple script for a Recording
Deleted event that does not seem to run when I delete a recording from
mythweb. Is the event triggered from the FE only? I only have a BE running
and do not use a FE. I am using mythtv 2.4 fixes.
