If the discussion is already on the lists, there is no harm in having
it locked, is there?

The ticket is showing problems with your OS, not even necessarily with
MythTV.  It looks to me that the OpenGL being linked to is somehow the
incorrect one.

Could you do:
ldd mythfrontend   (you will need the full path to the executable, likely)
