I find this very interesting.  Personally, I suspect this is because of the
perceived slow development and long time between between releases.
I see many people on this list gagging for the 25 release which has been in
the works for a long long time.
Perhaps this is seen as a more nimble fork?

Anyone tried it yet?

I would welcome a bit more information on this.
