    So HBO is bothering with contract terms of this kind yet
completely ignoring the very visible level of chaos that exists
in terms of DRM flag enforcement?

    It't a total crap shoot. You could end up with your CC tuner
being able to view anything or nothing or anything in between. It
can be as useful on Linux as it is on MCE or a total doorstop.

    A little genuine consumer advocacy at the FCC could eliminate 
the chaos and not leave it in the hands of HBO or the local cable 
providers.
