Hi;

I've had very good results debugging commands executed by the backend
using the log. Here's another (temporary) way of getting the information.
You won't have to change your .conf file or restart your backend:

     mythbackend --setverbose system,idle # I added the ,idle too.
     mythbackend --setloglevel debug

Here's a sample of my backend shutting down. Note lines 18 and 19:
