Hi Alan,

I did a bunch of fixes for the 950q, including a couple of race
conditions at startup that were occurring with recent kernels.  You
need to be running at least kernel 3.7 in order to get those fixes.  I
know they aren't in 12.04 (which has kernel 3.2), but haven't looked
up what kernels are in different versions of Mint.

In short, get kernel 3.7 or later, and if you still see problems come
back to the mailing list.
