Hi list.

After upgrading mythtv to 0.25.3 it suddenly takes over 1 minute from
I start a recording to it actually plays on the TV. I am not sure it
happened at the same time, but I first noticed it the day after I
upgraded. Nothing else changed on either the frontend or backend.

Here's the log from mythfrontend -v playback

The fileshare is mounted with NFS, as it has been since about 2004. Is
there a limit to how many files there can be in a store? I have many
recordings.

I tried unmounting the NFS filesystem on the frontend, and then it
started playing back instantaneously. However, I would like to have
the share there, as I use it for music and for a few other programs
available on the frontend. I don't care whether the recording plays
via streaming or via NFS.

There used to be an option "Always stream recordings from the backend"
but I can't seem to find it? Has it disappeared or just moved away
from General Playback (1/8) (taken from the wiki)?
