that's irrelevant if the kernel module is 1.0.24 (cat /proc/asound/version)

You haven't provided the information I requested earlier (what
mythfrontend shows *exactly* in the audio setup screen)

you would have seen LPCM, AC3 and DTS only.. As according to your amp
that's all it supports. No DTS-HD or TrueHD

yep.
However, bear in mind that what is display on the frontend and what
the amp report has no impact on what myth will let you do. The data
provided is informative only.
If TrueHD/DTS-HD check-boxes aren't enabled it's more to do with you
configuring something preventing it to work. In the Advanced Audio
Settings, if you have 48k override or StereoPCM checked: it will
prevent TrueHD/DTS-HD to work (both those features require 8 channels,
192kHz support)
