I appreciate your patience.  So if I am understanding correctly, I
should shut down the backend service, go into mythtv-setup -> General
and specify 192.168.1.100 (or whatever IP address my router assigns to
the backend) as the hostname.  I restart the backend and will need to
change a setting in my frontend to know that the backend is at this ip
address.  And everything should work and hopefully be ready for the
forthcoming iPad app (to the extent discussion of that app is
permissible here)?
