Make sure you are running at native resolution of your TV. if not 1920x1080, Some are 
1366x768, and some are 1360x768

To test this, open this page in a browser http://www.lagom.nl/lcd-test/clock_phase.php
The checkerboard pattern should be smooth with no moire patterns

Once you have native resoltion, check the aspect modes on the tv for a non-overscanned 
one. If none exist, then pick the one that keeps the 1:1 native pixel mapping and adjust 
mythtv's GUI to fit in iside it. Setup, Settings, Appearance. I have a rear-projection TV 
that is overscanned optically. I have set myth to 1866x1054 out of native 1920x1080.
