[mythtv-users] viewing->system lockup (with live TV?)

I'm using 0.24.2 and I've had repeated problems in which when I go to
view something the picture area shows lines on the screen and the entire
system becomes unresponsive. The only fix is a complete power cycle.
Though I'm not 100% sure, I think this happens mostly or entirely when I
view live TV.

I've noticed there are some problem reports in this area for 0.25, but
is this a known problem in 0.24?

Playback is set to slim, which I was told earlier was the safest.

I recall setting options so the picture appeared in a window, but I
can't find them now! In playback, vertical and horizontal scaling are
0, as are both scan displacements.
