[mythtv-users] Hauppauge HVR-2250 with Ununtu 11.04 64 bit desktop - missing capture card

I've been trying to get my Hauppauge WinTV-HVR
2250 to work with MythTV since 2010. I have
some "reality check" questions.
1. Hauppauge WinTV-HVR 2250, Ubuntu 11.04 64 bit
desktop,MythTV installed via Ubuntu Software Center,
clear QAM cable; does this work? I'm stymied with
Capture Card Setup; I can't see the Hauppauge 2250.
2. In searching through the wikis, mail list
archives, and forums, some said that there can be
a race condition between the tuner initializing
and the back end starting. Is this the case with
the HVR-2250 PCIe card? I am able to edit the
mythtv-backend.conf file; any hints as to what
the device names of the HVR-2250 might be?
3. Should I use LowSky's Mythbuntu 10.04 HVR-2250
tutorial with Ubuntu 11.04 64 bit and MythTV
instead of using the Ubuntu Software Center?
4. If I can get the 2250 card working on MythTV
with two tuners on clear QAM cable, I would like
to add a second 2250 card for two additional
tuners for ATSC for terrestrial. Has anyone
successfully done this?
Here are my specifics:
Intel Core i7 processor
8 GigaBytes RAM
GigaByte Z68MA-D2H-B3 Motherboard
Ubuntu 11.04 64 bit desktop Kernel Linux 2.6.38-11-generic
MythTV 2:0.24.0+fixes 20110416.9ba3ece0 ubuntu1 (mythtv)
Other attempts were made with different flavors
of MythBuntu and different versions of Ubuntu.
The tuner card did not appear.
I want to use Ubuntu 11.04 64 bit desktop, rather
than MythBuntu, as I will also be running SDR
applications on the back end computer.
