I have good news and bad news.

The good news is that I got Ron's patch applied to Mythbuntu 11.10 with
ease.  I used the standard MythTV patch because the Mythbuntu 11.10 source
no longer has references to v4l 2.

The bad news is I still have starving frontends when watching live TV and
the ring buffer flips.

I will start another thread to see if I can get some help.
