Well, that would presume that someone had reported the bug...

(Not to mention actually verifying that it is a bug and not a 
misconfiguration/invalid data, then diagnosing the alleged bug--of 
course, at this point, the functionality would be fixed rather than 
patched out.)

It's really hard to fix bugs that you don't know exist.
