I'm not suggesting buying anything.  If your backend is sufficiently 
close to your TV that you can use the IR cable from the tuner card, why 
do you even have a discrete frontend?  Every integrated IR cable I've 
seen is no longer than 6', meaning your backend must be in the same room.
