Yes, I've noticed that, too. It's only when there are two or more 
digits. It's signifying an "overflow" condition. I'm guessing that the 
theme only allows one digit there, so something is truncating the number 
with "#" (kind of like a spreadsheet will sometimes do if the column is 
too narrow to fit a value.)

If I knew more about how themes work, I'd try to expand the field (along 
with the ridiculously narrow fields in the job queue details display.)
