[mythtv-users] Video + Audio works with MythTV and VLC but no Audio with web browsers

This is a bit off topic but I am hoping this would be the best place to ask ...

The Video and Audio on this Ubuntu 10.04 works great (right away) with
the full Myth package and the VLC player.
Myth shows the default Audio Output Device to be "/dev/dsp1"
VLC-Audio-Output shows the Device: /dev/dsp1 and all the VLC supported
media formats work.

But with Firefox or Chrome, I can only see the video but there is no audio.
Flash, mp3 file, ... does not matter.
Even after rebooting the system and going straight for the web
browser, there is no audio.
How do you make the web browsers send the audio output to /dev/dsp1 ?
