In mythtv-setup, General settings, first page, you configured 
mythbackend to listen on port 3306.  Since your mysql server is already 
listening on that port, mythbackend cannot.  This is a fatal error and 
mythbackend terminates.  The default port for mythbackend to listen on 
is 6543.
