Hi John and list,

Just an update - fully removed the cards definitions, the channels and etc. and 
started again, all well now and both cards (they are of the same type and 
manufacture) are working well.

Still mystified as to why one card was working and the other not as they are of 
the same type completely, but not bothered now as they seem to be working 
now...
