I believe the answer to that is no.  Neither the Hauppauge remote nor
the MCE receiver are generic IR protocol devices.  They have fixed IR
codes which are not compatible.

If you want to use a Hauppauge remote, you need either a Hauppauge
receiver or a generic receiver which can be programmed with the
Hauppauge protocol.
