FUSE has its uses, but IMHO, none of them should be production level. 
I've not found it reliable enough to be used outside of interactive
purposes, where if it fails, the user is right there to fix it.  As for the
experimental kernel driver, I was not aware any of the attempts had yet
made it to any sort of usable state.
