[mythtv-users] HD Picture changes width/scaling intermittently during playback

Hi,
I have an unusual problem.
I will be watching a perfectly scaled, recorded show at 1360x768 (clear
and sharp, aspect ratio 16:9) on my plasma when a camera angle will
change in the show and suddenly the picture will shrink horizontally
ever so slightly, leaving very small black bands on the sides, but the
picture is now interpolated differently and is definitely not as sharp
or clear.
I have a plasma at 1360x768, geforce 8400 using VDPAU, using DVI-HDMI
(although have tried VGA with same issue), modelines set by screen EDID.
TV channel is ONEHD, 1080i. Have tried it with all de-interlace setting
including NONE.
I don't think it is a broadcast issue because the live TV image is fine,
it only occurs during playback of recordings. It is also not changing
aspect ratios because 4:3 or even 14:9 have much wider side bands.
Does anyone have a clue to what is going on?
Thanks
