After searching around for DVB-T2 tuner cards I have found a couple for use
in the UK.

One is the Blackgold BGT3620 PCIe card
(http://shop.blackgold.tv/epages/BT3159.sf/en_AU/?ObjectPath=/Shops/BT3159/Products/BGT3620)
and the other is the PCTV nanoStick T2 290e
(http://www.pctvsystems.com/Products/ProductsEuropeAsia/Digitalproducts/PCTVnanoStickT2/tabid/248/language/en-GB/Default.aspx),
but of course no Linux drivers.

I emailed Blackgold and received this reply, which seems a bit ambiguous:

'Thank you for your interest in the BGT3620 and your requirement for DVB-T2.

The development schedule details an initial Linux driver release during
June. Please note changes will be required to the Linux DVB API core
framework. In addition to that, existing applications would not know how to
handle this new addition to the DVB API and hence support must be explicitly
added to them, or new applications will have to be developed.

Since no applications currently support DVB-T2, there will be a requirement
for some minimal application support by BlackGold to allow any releasable
product. Therefore any initial release will be managed to
individuals/organizations that are able to provide some creditable
indication of application level support capability. As such we don’t expect
a more general release until six weeks after the initial round of
testing/evaluation.

We welcome all responses to allow us to determine the criteria to scope the
first generation customers. This process will commence in the next couple of
weeks with an aim to advise these customers in the subsequent 2 to 3 weeks.'

And after some searching also found this project to create drivers for the
PCTV nanostick under Linux, http://stevekerrison.com/290e/ which seems to
be quite promising and I have emailed Steve Kerrison in the view of
purchasing a nanostick for myself and testing the drivers.

Anyway I thought this information would be useful to MythTV users,
especially for those in the UK who want to receive Freeview HD.

Paul
