[mythtv-users] OtherOS: Linux on PS3 with direct hardware access

Saw this on Engadget. The project page is at http://gitbrew.org/otheros/

Here's a quick list of their claims:

   - OtherOS bootloader is booted directly from HV, no GameOS is involved.
   - Process of booting OtherOS bootloader loader is very similar to 3.15
   method
   - Booting Linux from HDD/USB/BD/Network
   - Linux with GameOS rights
   - Full access to all HV SS services (Dispatcher Manager) from GameOS or
   Linux
   - Full access to all System Manager services

This is a question for those smarter than me - Does this mean that Linux
could now access the GPUs? That was always the sticking point for making the
PS3 a MythTV frontend.
